A series of three short films, made up of scripted narrative, live events and audience online interaction. Breathe is a pioneering concept offering a unique cinematic experience that breaks down the wall between actors and audience.

People participating in the experience and trying to solve the mystery may find themselves meeting the story characters within the context of the narrative and themselves becoming characters in the films.

Breathe was conceived and is being produced by Yomi Ayeni / Expanding Universe. Episode One is directed by BAFTA winner Andy Wilson (Gormenghast – BBC, Cracker – ITV, Forsyth Saga – ITV), written by Andrew Brown (The Wonderland Experience), and Nicholas McInerny – script consultant (The Bill – ITV).

The cast includes Ben Taylor (Phantom Menace, The Young Indiana Jones, Breaking into Tesco), Emma Griffiths Malin (Death on the Nile, Lolita, The Forsythe Saga), Liz Kettle (Poirot, Jeeves and Wooster, Secret Life of Mrs Beeton) and Andrew Robertson (Gormenghast, Far From China).

Expanding Universe is launching Breathe… in conjunction with Power to the Pixel’s Cross-Media Film Forum at the Times BFI 53rd London Film Festival on the 14th of October, with the first film released simultaneously online.
